Who should the Titans pick?
With the NFL Draft coming up on Saturday, you know I’m really anxious to see who my team is going to draft. I’m cutting out on my brother’s senior prom to see this so it better be good. Because first of all I have a few draft crushes that I wouldn’t mind the Titans taking: Michael Johnson, Percy Harvin, Alphonso Smith, Evander Hood, and Sean Smith. I’d literally scream around in my room like a little girl if we were to take any one of those guys.
We’re a great drafting team. Our last two first round selections have been to the Pro Bowl. I’ve complained immediately after our last two first round selections too, I’ll keep my mouth shut this time. The front office clearly knows more than me because they’ve proved it.
Anyway, the video above is of the player I want the most. Sean Smith, CB out of Utah. He has great cover instincts and makes spectacular plays on the ball. He would definitely be able to line up as the third cornerback on the depth chart and get a lot of playing time early. Watch his amazing one handed interception!
The Next One
The reason I present this video on my blog page is to show people the impact O.J. Mayo not only could have on himself, but the impact he could have on Memphis basketball and this all comes in as positive insight. O.J. Mayo plays for one of the youngest teams in the NBA. It has a nice young core and no one in the frequent starting line up that was used this season had over three years in the league under there belt. But Mayo seems years ahead of his game and just plays like a veteran. I wouldn’t take a shot at him either, but he looks pretty old too, Greg Oden too.
Mayo could be the next big thing in Memphis, only God knows how much upside and potential this kid has. He was putting his name in the record books early on in the season with names the likes of David Robinson. His 210 points in his first 10 games were up there with current active players like Allen Iverson and Shaq who’ve done it in the past. Mayo lost Rookie of the Year to Chicago’s rookie Derrick Rose by a landslide. There’s no argument for me either, and I think Rose very well deserved it. Next year will more than likely be another development season for the Grizzlies. It will be another year of experience for these young players and fans, just good luck to all the players especially O.J. Mayo. Memphis loves you!

Maurice Jones-Drew's four-year, $32 million contract
So from what I read on NFL.com as soon as I logged on to my PC is that the Jaguars signed Jones-Drew to a four-year, $32 million contract. The deal also included $17.5 million guaranteed. To say I didn’t know this deal would happen is ludicrous because their have been multiple times said from multiple sources that this deal was going to happen. To say I was surprised at this guy’s pay day though is absolutely true. I don’t think they overpaid him either. He was the best back in his draft class and has proved that over guys the likes of Reggie Bush. He’s even proved to be just about better than Bush at everything, and anyone with sense could see that Bush isn’t a genuine “25 Carries” a game back.
But when you start to compliment and talk about this guy’s success on the field you have a lot to talk about. He’s scored what I believe is 40 touchdowns in his short riddled three year career! The guy is tough too and great as a pass blocker because he’s so cock strong for a little guy. His leadership skills and respect in the locker room isn’t bad either. Fred Taylor told this guy when he came in that the NFL is what you make it to be. So you can definitely say he is one of the young, up and coming, premier players in this league. Congratulations to Jones-Drew on this big pay day, he’s really earned it.

2009 Tennessee Titans Schedule
I just got word earlier today about the Titan’s 2009 season schedule. I must tell you that I’m hyped as hell for next season. My boys are going to have four prime time games that come with two of them at The Coliseum in Nashville. We also play on Christmas Night against the Chargers on NFL Network. I have no idea how I’m going to get access to that game by television but for the hell of it I might just go to it or maybe watch it on a stream. When I tell you that I’m ready for the season to hurry up and start now I am dead serious, but I can at least wait for the draft that’s right around the corner and catch my team recruit some beast out of college. But that’s what it is, go check out the full schedule at the team's official website. It's not hard to find. . As always and for ever, go Titans! ’09 is our year baby.
Stephen Tulloch
Today was the first day that’ll be in my distance memory of meeting a Tennessee Titan. The Tennessee Titans Caravan that they do every year came around last year, but I missed it. This year I made sure that history didn’t repeat itself and I got a ride to where the Titans Caravan stopped. I was one of the first in line, and I had a good time. I saw Stephen Tulloch come out and I was one of the first of about seven people to shake his hand.
We spent some time waiting but it was worth the wait. I stood by some die hard fans like myself and the mascot “T-Rac” even came out and entertained some little kids younger than me. I got T-Rac to sign my
Shit, we stood in that waiting line outside for a long time at
At the end of the day we went inside the building and Stephen Tulloch was sitting there signing autographs. He signed mine and I told him, “You’re one of my favorite linebackers, on Monday Night Football where you had that big hit on 3rd Down, I almost lost it.” He told me he appreciated it, and said thanks a couple times. They gave out a poster, car banner, and some kind of pizza coupon that I haven’t looked close at yet. That’s pretty much it, it’s pretty cool meeting people that stand for things you like.
